In 2011, the Federal Government announced they would fund the development of a $65 million Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre (AWRCC). The new integrated centre has since been built on the grounds of Albury Hospital, consolidating and expanding existing public and private cancer services in the region.
Having previous experience on numerous projects with major hospitals, CHW came into this project with a wealth of knowledge in designing and implementing specialist AV, ICT, communications, and collaboration technology systems for a range of healthcare applications.
As a result our AV and ICT design facilitated the following infrastructure:
- Large storage SAN & servers
- Server virtualisation using blade server technology and virtualisation systems
- Infrastructure for Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
- Increased heat and power requirements on a per rack basis to support the above technologies
CHW successfully implemented a technology design which aligned with the Cancer Centre’s vision for providing their rural facilities with world class ICT and AV technology solutions.
