The Northern Health Teaching, Training, and Research Precinct is a major partnership between Northern Health, University of Melbourne, LaTrobe University, the Federal and Victorian State government. This precinct includes the latest simulation technology, research laboratories, lecture theatres, and community spaces.
Based on our extensive experience in the health sector, CHW Consulting was engaged to develop the ICT package for this project. Critically, our ICT consultants will provide best practice design advice in coordination with Northern Health ITS. This will include a review of the design brief to determine the ICT technical requirements for the facility.
As the ICT consultants, our role will be shaped around incorporating Northern Health’s existing ICT design standards into a broader network design, and will involve coordination of the equipment models and a review of the structured cabling infrastructure as documented by the Services Engineer.
Completed in 2014, the new facility is capable of training an additional 400 health professionals and will bring lasting benefits to the northern community.
With CHW’s support, the design can now cater to the existing and future needs of the region.
